Oshkosh Celebration of Lights and ARC Contracting
ARC is a proud sponsor of the Oshkosh Celebration of Lights this season. Our Communications Director, Devon, was on the 2014 Celebration of Lights Committee, and was also interviewed on the Channel 5 news. With the other committee members, she was able to make this year’s event a success.

Oshkosh Celebration of Lights
This is the 13th year that the Oshkosh Celebration of Lights is taking place in Menominee Park in Oshkosh. There is over a half million lights spanning the mile-long route through the park. This year the light show runs from November 25 through December 31 from 5-9p.m. Load up your car and drive through the park, sit on Santa’s lap, visit his reindeer, and work on projects in the Elves’ Hideout. There is an admission fee that helps support the light show and a portion is also donated to local organizations. For more information go to the Celebration of Lights website.
ARC’s Contribution
As a part of the committee, Devon attended weekly meetings and was in charge of making sure that there were enough volunteers to cover each night. Through speaking at events, news segments, and being the main contact for volunteer inquiries she was able to recruit and schedule volunteers throughout the event. The Celebration of Lights operates for 33 days and Devon was in charge of filling each day with volunteers and groups. In total 300 people were there helping with the front gate, the Elves’ Hideout, and Santa’s Workshop. We’re proud of how committed Devon was to this project and how well she did. The Celebration of Lights couldn’t happen without the Committee members’ hard work.
